Melody Anne has been writing books for quite a while. Why I've never read one before now makes absolutely no sense. Apparently, I'm an idiot because I have really been missing out. And before you roll your eyes about this being a billionaire book, just stop it. I know how those millionaire books are and I know how much people hate on them. But this one was different. It wasn't snooty or standoffish or even something us peasants can't relate to. It was awesome. It was magical. It is a new favorite.
Usually I have page after page of notes on the book that I'm reading. I have a horrible memory and jotting those sometimes snarky notes down is the only thing that helps me remember all of my issues and/or likes with a book. You know how many notes I had for this book? Zero. Zip. Nada. I had none! I think it was because I didn't have time to write anything down! I blew through this book at an embarrassing pace. Simply put: I just couldn't get enough. Of course, in hindsight, I wish that I had slowed down because now it's over and I'm a little ashamed of my reading binge but it was SOO good.
Basically, I loved everything about this book. The characters were absolutely perfect, the plot was exciting and kept me interested and the ending/beginning/everything-in-between was exactly how it should be. I should really expound on that statement but I kinda don't want to. I know that in the excited verbal explosion that will come, I will give away some plot-twist or secret that you really need to experience first-hand. I will say this ... this is no ordinary billionaire book. Unlike most books in this little genre, it didn't put the money as the subject of the book. It was something that was there, lurking in the background but it didn't take priority over the important stuff on these pages. It gave me a new respect for books like it but I know that none will ever be able to measure up.
There was one thing that I detested ... the ending. Hated it. There should have been at least 300 more pages to this story because I just didn't want it to end. The only light at the end of this tunnel is that I have the next book in the series on my Kindle. Right. Now. Yep. I just got it today and I CANNOT wait to dive into it because the Armstrong brothers ... sweet, baby Jesus. I want an Armstrong brother. Christmas is coming up if someone wants to get me a tall, dark and handsome gift. My husband won't mind. Fine, he would. But he would probably get over it. LOVE this book. ADORE this book. I really hope that the next book is just as good or I will lose my shit. There's a lot to live up to but I have a feeling that this author is going to deliver and maybe even top Turbulent Intentions. Just save me the time it will take to harass you to read this book and go get it. Immediately.
